The challenge of this project was to achieve an environmentally high-performing coastal home on a modest budget, and the result demonstrates that sustainable architecture is accessible to families across the Surf Coast and Great Ocean Road.

Engineered for Comfort Strategically placed triple-glazed windows, a tightly sealed building envelope, and high-performance insulation create a house-specific ecosystem that maintains a comfortable temperature of 20-25 degrees all year round.

So, while neighbours might rattle with the icy Antarctic winds typical of Port Fairy and Warrnambool winters, or sweat it out during an infamous Melbourne heatwave, Patricia maintains her equilibrium. This project is a testament to the power of passive design in harsh coastal environments.
