This project involves a sensitive, site-specific studio extension to a prominent heritage home in Warrnambool. As a Warrnambool architect, the primary challenge was to design a contemporary volume that respects the existing historical character while breathing new life into the existing house as well as the outdoor area.

The design activates the backyard, creating a seamless connection between the internal living zones and the garden. A key feature is the integrated external fireplace, which anchors the outdoor living space and draws the occupants into the landscape.

This project exemplifies our approach to residential architecture along the Great Ocean Road: respecting the region's history while delivering modern, functional spaces that celebrate our unique coastal lifestyle.
